Some students, like these two at the end of Scholar's
Walk, did not even have to think before
answering "Yes" or "No." |
From the dawn of time, or at least since the inception of the famous rock band, ZZ Top, a burning question has been on the minds of men. Seriously, I just had to know whether or not it was true. What I have found out, you must know.
I hope you're paying attention: this stuff is important.
Is every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man? The song proclaims adamently that this is fact, but the world has had its doubts since ZZ Top released the hit in 1983. You may not have heard of the song, but everybody wonders. That's what I thought.

Professors, like Prof. John Holder of
political science, had their opinions too. |
As it turns out, many people, especially ladies, have already decided firmly whether it's the shine of a suit (and all it suggests) that is really important. As I interviewed about 25 students and professors at Winthrop University, I discovered my assumptions were less than accurate.

Luckily, some students gave me time in
their busy schedules to chat between classes. |
Furthermore, there is a disparity between the opinions of guys versus those of ladies. Can you judge a book by its, cover, or do the clothes make the man? The video, which contains the bona-fide answer, can be found here. Or just click the link at the bottom of this post.
You will soon see that most folk agree with one side of this yes or no question. Sure enough, it did seem from early on the most of the guys were going to say, "Yes," to my entertainment. The ladies were tricky, but seemed to be resolute with either "Yay" or "Nay."

Some students attending WU are real-life gurus, just
waiting for to spill out their knowledge to those who ask. |
The public has spoken. Does a lady look more fondly of a man fashioned in cuffs and buttons?
